From a Palmilla villa
Palmilla and the Tourist Corridor wash out the Milky Way. We drive you inland to a darker Baja California Sur site (Sierra de la Laguna foothills / ranch country east of the Corridor — exact pad depends on moon phase, wind, and access that week). Setup: astronomy host plus one large aperture telescope, or two instruments so the group is not queueing — e.g. a wide-field for the galactic core and a higher-power for planets, double stars, and brighter nebulae. Laser pointer tour of constellations first, then eyepiece time; kids get a shorter “wow” block before adults go deep. Blankets, chairs, thermos dinner or light ranch snack. New-moon windows are best; we won’t fake Bortle-1 if the calendar is bright. Optional: combine with a sierra ranch overnight so you are already under dark sky at midnight. No party soundtrack — just the sky.
